"Home Stretch" tells the story of a father and son working together to help accomplish each others’ goals. Every year, tens of thousands of runners enter a lottery for an opportunity to run the New York City Marathon, and only a fraction is admitted. Tony Amenta, denied by the lottery, remains determined to get into the marathon at any cost. His son, Matt, wants to make a film about it. While Tony trains, his family schemes up different ways to sneak him in. But, by the time race day rolls around, Matt doesn’t know if they’ll be able to finish the film, and Tony doesn’t know if he’ll even be able to make it to mile one.

A true New York movie, “Home Stretch”, is about family, filmmaking, and the allure of the City. It is a film about taking risks for the important things, about following through even when the outcome is the most uncertain.
